Gerk was a very knowledgeable and thoughtful tour guide. Met us promptly at our hotel in Amsterdam. He was prepared for various contingencies; Umbrellas, water, snacks. Lunch and... read more admissions were included. We did his 6 hour tour to the north of Amsterdam. Loved seeing the countryside and learning about Dutch history through the eyes of a native away from the crowds and tour buses.
Our family spent two days with Gerk. The first day he picked us up promptly in our hotel lobby and took us around Amsterdam. It was a wonderful way to... read more see the city on foot and Gerk was full of information about the history and culture of the areas. He brought us to places we would never have found on our own. The second day he picked us up from our hotel lobby again and took us via his comfortable car to see some small towns and a working windmill. Once again he demonstrated great knowledge and was very patient with all of our questions. We enjoyed the tour of the windmill and the small towns as well as the wonderful lunch in a charming cafe. I would highly recommend Gerk and this company - the time spent with him was one of our favorite parts of our time in Amsterdam.
Gerk was an excellent tour guide! Personable, so very knowledgeable, always exactly on time and we were never in a rush. He took us away from the crowds... read more - which are maddening in Amsterdam - and educated us about the history of his country. We visited a working windmill not frequented by tourists and travelled around The Netherlands with ease. 5 days we were together walking, in the car, touring little villages and big cities. We could not have asked for anything more! Well worth every minute!
