Gerk was a perfect tour guide for our family. Our group included an 85 year old and a Type 1 Diabetic so he had to stop more than usual and... read more spent extra time with us. The tour was just as I hoped it would be. He took us to the countryside on a 6 plus hour tour on 06/29/19. We had a working windmill all to ourselves and stopped for coffee and lunch at two separate quiet local places. The next day he walked with us in Amsterdam and again avoided crowds while tailoring the tour to our needs. The whole family enjoyed him and I would highly recommend him over any other tour guide.
Gerk was an excellent tour guide! Personable, so very knowledgeable, always exactly on time and we were never in a rush. He took us away from the crowds... read more - which are maddening in Amsterdam - and educated us about the history of his country. We visited a working windmill not frequented by tourists and travelled around The Netherlands with ease. 5 days we were together walking, in the car, touring little villages and big cities. We could not have asked for anything more! Well worth every minute!
What a wonderful day with Gerk, absolute gentleman, interesting , safe driving and best of all visits to beautiful places away from the crowds. Delicious lunch with a view over... read more farmland and a canal. He even managed to pick the wind up enough to start the blades of the windmill!
One of our best tours on holidays and just what we needed after the torturous flight from Australia, relaxing, informative and spectacular scenery. Highly recommend.
