We so enjoyed our day tour spent with Gerk in Friesland. One of our group's family was originally from the Friesland area and he took us to cemeteries to see... read more her relatives headstones. He was so knowledgeable of the area and we learned so much. Highly recommend Gerk...he went above and beyond on his tour for us.
We had a wonderful day with Gerk in the beautiful countryside North of Amsterdam. We did the 6 hr tour with our 20 yr old daughter and everyone enjoyed... read more the day. It was so nice to have all our stops almost to ourselves in several quaint villages and at a working windmill “museum”. Three windmills at one location and we went though, and climbed to the top, of one of them. Gerk gave a wonderful history lesson on the Netherlands throughout the day. We would highly recommend a day with Gerk, a very good local guide.

Our family spent two days with Gerk. The first day he picked us up promptly in our hotel lobby and took us around Amsterdam. It was a wonderful way to... read more see the city on foot and Gerk was full of information about the history and culture of the areas. He brought us to places we would never have found on our own. The second day he picked us up from our hotel lobby again and took us via his comfortable car to see some small towns and a working windmill. Once again he demonstrated great knowledge and was very patient with all of our questions. We enjoyed the tour of the windmill and the small towns as well as the wonderful lunch in a charming cafe. I would highly recommend Gerk and this company - the time spent with him was one of our favorite parts of our time in Amsterdam.
